Dr. Heathcock was born and raised in Washington. He attended medical school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California and then moved back to Washington in 1998 to complete his residency in diagnostic radiology at Virginia Mason Medical Center. In 2007, Dr. Heathcock went on a medical mission trip to Kenya for two weeks.

Dr. Heathcock is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the Washington State Radiological Society and the American College of Radiology. Dr. Heathcock joined Valley Radiologists in 2003.
